5 Star Rating
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), recently implemented a 5 Star rating system, designed to assist consumers in evaluating where to receive nursing home care. Each facility in Connecticut is rated from a low of one star to a high of five stars based on three critical areas: health inspection results, quality measures, and staffing levels. The Facility is then given an overall star rating.
Of the 241 Nursing Homes in Connecticut, less than 20% have received all 5-out-of-5 Stars.
